Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Crafts Show

The 5th annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Craft show at Hunter Park will be held on November 16, 2019 from 12 pm-3 pm. This event will feature vendors from all over West Georgia and Metro ATL with various arts & crafts and food and beverage items.

The festival will also include a children’s play zone featuring inflatables and other amenities for $5. Children 3 and under are free inside the play zone.

The 2020 1st annual Black History Extravaganza is happening Saturday,
February 29, 2020 from 11 am to 5 pm at Douglas County High School, 8705
Campbellton St, Douglasville GA 30134. The Extravaganza programming is
family-oriented day and rooted in Celebrating the African Diaspora.
There will be panel discussions, educational activities, art gallery,
children’s activities, health and wellness sessions, storytelling,
community connection circles, youth performances, musical and dance
performances, food, goods, and services vendors, workshops, and so much
more.
The event is free and open to the public.

Come out and meet your public safety officials while the kids enjoy egg hunts, touch-a-trucks, and a bounce house along with food, vendors, and fun. This event is free and open to the public. Vendors are needed and Registration is $25.

This spring, the hydrangeas are loaded with buds and the Penny McHenry Hydrangea Garden Tour should be spectacular, showcasing many varieties of hydrangeas, including the Penny Mac and Mini Penny, named for Penny McHenry. There are several of Douglasville | Douglas County’s most beautiful gardens participating in the Hydrangea Garden Tour, some of which have been featured in national magazines. Visitors will enjoy seeing a number of outdoor retreats, architectural features and more.

Limited number of tickets available. Tickets may be purchased online at dcmuseum.org beginning May 18, or at Douglas County Museum of History and Art during regular operating hours* beginning Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Please bring your ticket with you as you tour the gardens. Garden locations will be listed on your ticket and hostesses will greet you at the gardens beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Unfortunately, this tour is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Please wear comfortable and sturdy shoes. Current Georgia Covid-19 precautions will be required, including social distancing.

The Douglasville Police Department will be holding a Summer Festival instead of a Spring Festival this year. It will take place on June 5, 2021 from 10 am until 4 pm at the Douglasville Public Safety Complex located at 2083 Fairburn Road. Come out and meet your public safety officials while the kids enjoy a summer egg hunt, touch-a-truck, a K-9 demo, vendors, food and fun. This event is free and open to the public. We will be social distancing, have hand sanitizer stations throughout the festival, and ask that you bring a mask for close interaction. The entire event will be outside.

Join your local law enforcement for a night of food, fun, and partnership!

The Douglasville Police Department, in partnership with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, is sponsoring a Jamboree at our “House of Hope” located at 8304 Hollis Street, Douglasville, GA, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 1pm – 6pm. The Jamboree will include information from several surrounding city & county resources, balloon animals, kids activities, food, music, and more. There will be something to do for everyone.
Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and bring masks. Parking available at Simpson’s Mortuary adjacent to the event.
